Dolphin Tour
We will be picking you up early in the morning from the hotel and driving to Kizimkazi village for an amazing adventure - swimming with incredible mammals - Dolphins - closely related to whales. Kizimkazi is a place where many of the species, like Bottlenose [most common] and Indo- pacific humpback, can be seen. The tour is done mostly in the morning, because the dolphins come on the surface to play and socialize. Later, dolphins dive deep down to avoid the heat of the sun, and use that time to feed their babies and rest.
Finding the dolphins may take some time so you will have to be patient. We will be in their natural environment and not in an aquarium but we have good chances of seeing them. Dolphins are very intelligent creatures - they can even alternate when part of their brain is asleep so they can rest while remaining conscious. Some days, the dolphins are shyer and hard to spot, in those cases you would still be enjoying an amazing boat trip in the rising sun.
It is a short morning trip that usually starts at 5:30am and lasts till 9:30am. But note that the time may vary depending on your location.
